Worried? Make something.
Worry pretends to be useful. It keeps your mind busy, convinces you you’re being “responsible,” makes you feel engaged with the problem. But worry has never fixed anything. It only drains.
Worry feels like work. You replay the problem, analyze angles, scroll for inspiration, wait for the right moment. But nothing changes.
Worry. Builds. Nothing.

Making breaks that loop. If you’re worried about a client, call them. If you’re worried about a launch, draft it. Action doesn’t erase the worry, but it gives it shape. It turns fear into feedback.
The only way through is a bias toward making. Every small act of creating pulls you forward.
Glossier began this way. Before it was a billion-dollar beauty brand, Emily Weiss started a blog, Into the Gloss. No products. No investors. Just making → publishing, listening, building a community one post at a time. That small act of doing laid the foundation for Glossier’s rise.
Worry is weight. Making is release.
Reflections to work through:
What worry could you shrink by acting on it today?
Where is worry costing you more than the work itself?
What small thing could you make this week to move forward?
Carrying the worry instead of making the move? Let’s talk.

HR is lonely. It doesn’t have to be.
The best HR advice comes from people who’ve been in the trenches.
That’s what this newsletter delivers.
I Hate it Here is your insider’s guide to surviving and thriving in HR, from someone who’s been there. It’s not about theory or buzzwords — it’s about practical, real-world advice for navigating everything from tricky managers to messy policies.
Every newsletter is written by Hebba Youssef — a Chief People Officer who’s seen it all and is here to share what actually works (and what doesn’t). We’re talking real talk, real strategies, and real support — all with a side of humor to keep you sane.
Because HR shouldn’t feel like a thankless job. And you shouldn’t feel alone in it.
