Win Where Others Won’t Go
Play in the gaps they ignore.
Bill Walsh was head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.
He changed football with one idea:
Put the ball where the other team isn’t.

Before Walsh, offenses relied on force.
Running straight at defenses.
Predictable. Heavy. Easy to prepare for.
Walsh designed the West Coast Offense.
Short, precise passes.
Plays that forced defenses to cover the entire field.
He created openings that didn’t exist before.
He won by seeing space others ignored.
Most brands refuse to look for that space.
They crowd the same channels:
Top-of-funnel ads.
Viral social hooks.
Awareness campaigns.
All fighting for the same moment of attention.
It’s easier to stay there.
It’s measurable.
It feels productive.
But it’s also crowded.
The space that changes minds isn’t at the top.
It’s in the middle.
When someone is hesitating.
Comparing.
Second-guessing.
Waiting for a reason to choose you.
That’s where trust is built.
That’s where clarity matters.
If you’re not willing to show up there, someone else will.
Need to find that space?
